Shop drawings can be embedded with data blocks containing pre-determined 

attributes which correspond to key information needed by your

company to fabricate materials or manufacture products.

This embedded information can be extracted from the Shop Drawings 

into a data base or spread sheet program and be manipulated to produce hard copy 

or data files that can be used directly by fabrication and your MRP system.
